How Home Depot’s Hedging Against A Downturn With Digital
 

When the going got tough for Home Depot, Home Depot got going. It did so with a big upgrade and investment in eCommerce (among other things) so it was ready to help when shoppers came back. The company's eight-year, same-store sales winning streak is a testament to why that was probably the right strategy, and Home Depot is, once gain, doubling down on investing in digital. After all, according to the firm's CEO, the best way to celebrate a hot streak is to "future-proof" against the cold streaks that will inevitably show up.
