Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., and two other senators have introduced a bill they say will bring production of certain personal protective equipment critical to health care to U.S. factories. The senators said uncertainty over future market conditions has made American companies reluctant to commit to long-term investments in domestic production of the equipment.

S.C. offering 6 additional weeks of unemployment benefits

The extended benefits will be added to a previously announced 10-week state program for individuals whose regular unemployment insurance benefits year ended on or after June 14.
