Our AGM last Saturday was a huge success! A big thanks to Gavin Fisher for his leadership in these proceedings. We voted in our new-look committee headed up by Kellie Cox who stepped up from her VP role into the leadership position. The GCWA Achievement Award went to our cherished Association Editor, Kerri Yarsley, in gratitude for her years of dedication to our organisation. Her name reads proudly on our shield! Our outgoing President, Andy McDermott, will be staying on as Patron to the GCWA. The positions of Membership Secretary and Webmaster remain open, if you are interested in these positions please contact us. We are an organisation run by writers for writers, and are looking forward to continuing to serve our writing community to the value of our motto- Create, Inspire, Connect. We have a very exciting year planned, and hope you will join us. There is a very short (2 question) survey available for members and prospective members to let us know what they want from the GCWA over the coming year. You can find it here... |
