WORLD CANCER RESEARCH DAY
Sunday, September 24th, was World Cancer Research Day - it's a day where people across the globe come together to promote cancer research in order to reduce the number of people who develop cancer, improve survival rates and the quality of life for people who have received a cancer diagnosis.
To mark this extraordinary day our amazing volunteers were on the streets around Ireland collecting generous donations to help us fund the essential cancer research we are funding all around the country. We are delighted to share that almost €50,000 has been raised!!!!
Thank you to each and everyone who turned out to support from schools, local community groups, Breakthrough-funded researchers, corporate partners, families and friends. Thank you to everyone who donated so generously and also shared their own cancer stories with us. As always, we are sincerely grateful for all of your amazing support.
We still have a few collections going on over the coming weeks so if you spot us pop by to say hello!
