Green Marine Europe: the new laureates finally revealed! On June 24, the laureates of the Green Marine Europe label were revealed in Biarritz. If six shipowners had already been awarded in 2020, they are, for this second edition, twelve have committed to a sustainable ecological transition. A great hope for change in the maritime transport sector, which is particularly polluting for the ocean. |

2020 European Bathing Water Quality Report: Surfrider Europe reacts and expresses its demands In the latest report on the quality of European bathing waters, 83% of sites are considered to be of excellent quality, but Surfrider Europe cannot be fully satisfied with this: the association has recently demanded, through its Manifesto for Healthy Waters, the extension of control areas as well as the broadening of analysis criteria to better measure the quality of European waters. |

On the 29th of May, the volunteers of the Hérault local chapter and of Radio Campus Montpellier organized a day of livestream to speak about the ocean. This Live of the Oceans was a true success thanks to diverse speakers (scientists, associations, artists, athletes…) who are all passionate about the marine world and thanks to an extremely motivated team. |
