May is Jewish American Heritage Month. While publishing news from a Jewish perspective is nothing new for us, we’re taking some extra time this month to reflect on our past and our heritage.

For me, Yiddish is part of the fabric of Jewish American life. As Yiddish Editor of the Forward, I work every day to keep Yiddish traditions alive with our Yiddish Word of the Day, Yiddish language cooking shows and Zoominars on topics ranging from Yiddish humor to the new Duolingo Yiddish course.
