A devastating event occurred near the power station at Nachal Hadera Park. Due to the warm waters discharged from the nearby electric plant, the area has become a known hotspot for sharks. ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏
Last week, a tragedy unfolded off the coast of Hadera near the Nachal Hadera Park. A diver entered the water and moments later became the victim of a horrifying shark attack, witnessed by dozens of beachgoers who stood helplessly on the shore. Eyewitnesses described a terrifying scene: a man struggling desperately in the water, screaming for help, surrounded by multiple sharks. One witness recounted, "He was fighting, trying to escape the shark. It was chilling. We watched helplessly as the sharks surrounded him." Immediately upon receiving this distressing report, Zaka Tel Aviv's Diving Unit mobilized alongside emergency responders, including marine police and other rescue teams. Despite tireless efforts throughout yesterday and into today, the diver has yet to be located. |
| Early morning, our dedicated divers discovered important evidence on the shore. These findings have been sent for examination to the national forensic institute, offering potential leads in this ongoing search. Meanwhile, our teams persistently comb through the waters and shorelines, refusing to give up until closure can be provided to the victim's family. The rescue operations are intense, dangerous, and costly, but every second counts. Our brave divers are determined to continue the search, but we need your help. Your immediate support can help sustain this critical search-and-rescue operation and ensure we remain ready to respond swiftly to future emergencies. |
| Thank you for being part of this mission—for standing with Israel, and for making sure no one is left behind. |
