CRC Member Exclusive | AAPA moves to adopt new title for the profession | The American Association of Physician Assistants is making plans to change the title of the profession to "physician associate" after its House of Delegates (HOD) passed a resolution in May. AAPA CEO Lisa M. Gables, CPA, says the vote for changing the physician assistant (PA) title is the result of work springing from the HOD meeting in 2018 when a resolution was passed to hire an independent consulting/research firm to investigate a new professional title that better reflected the role. |
