Should COVID-19 vaccines be mandatory?

The American Hospital Association is supporting mandatory COVID-19 vaccines for healthcare personnel. It is also offering hospitals and health systems public service announcements and other resource materials as a way to keep up the push to get more shots into arms in the face of the evolving novel coronavirus.

The American Association of Physician Assistants is making plans to change the title of the profession to "physician associate" after its House of Delegates (HOD) passed a resolution in May. AAPA CEO Lisa M. Gables, CPA, says the vote for changing the physician assistant (PA) title is the result of work springing from the HOD meeting in 2018 when a resolution was passed to hire an independent consulting/research firm to investigate a new professional title that better reflected the role.
