Good evening, Now, here at newspaper towers we step a neutral line politically. We always have done and in the course of our role in asking the difficult questions on behalf of our readers - the voters - we often need to level criticism and hold to account where it's needed, whatever the party colours. At the end of the day we are here to pull no punches on behalf of our local community and not everyone will like that, for obvious reasons. When it comes to national politics we try to look at decisions and issues that impact all of you. We are just about to launch our series looking into the spiralling costs of living for example - watch this space. And this week the issue dominating the conversation is our Prime Minister Boris Johnson. Can we really trust a man who can’t admit attending a party when we were all subject to draconian restrictions? Numerous emotive stories have emerged from the same day while politicians drank in a garden. We just need to remember one thing - this is the man who has the power to declare war or launch a weaponised attack but didn’t realise he was at a party not a ‘work event’. It’s up to you. If you want to share an opinion, write for our letters page - email clare.kelly@jpimedia.co.uk Enjoy your evening, Nicola nicola.adam@jpimedia.co.uk | |
