Hutch, Hutch, Hike!

Happy Monday, Baltimore. I hope you're not still fuming about the Ravens' total collapse on Saturday.

If you're like us, you're biding your time and finishing a few things this week until you head out (or at least slow down) for the rest of the year. But in advance of that, we're on the clock and thus still thinking about the tech in our markets through much of the week.

Below, you'll see a few newer stories from us. One is a report about local disease-tracking company Sickweather filing for bankruptcy, which came as a surprise to even one of its founders. If you know anybody or are somebody caught up in those proceedings, feel free to reach out; I'm still unsure as to why this went down.

In addition, you'll see a recap of the recent graduation ceremony for Hutch, the civic tech incubator program founded by Fearless to bring more companies with underrepresented founders into the profitable world of government contracts. With so many companies laying workers off and a recession in the forecast, government contracts appear to offer another revenue stream upon which companies with the right services can survive and even thrive.

To that end, we want to know: Are you pursuing big government contracts? Let us know by emailing baltimore@technical.ly, and thanks!
