Why do we undertake prescribed burning in Cockburn? Prescribed burns are used to manage bushfire risks in Australia. These burns are planned well in advance by the land manager to ensure the safety of our community and natural environments. By implementing prescribed burns, we reduce bushfire risks and work together to protect our environment and community. To find out more about prescribed burning, visit the DFES website and if you want to see what burns are taking place as well as emergency alerts, visit Emergency WA. |
