The conflict surrounding Israel has taken a concerning turn, with new developments indicating an expansion beyond the ongoing war in Gaza. Last night, the IDF responded to rocket fire from Syria toward the Golan Heights by striking two Syrian Army sites in southern Syria, just 6 miles from the Israeli-Syrian border. This marks a significant escalation in the region, bringing Syria into the fold of the already tense situation. Meanwhile, this morning, the Israeli Air Force (IAF) launched attacks on Hezbollah military targets in southern Lebanon. This was in addition to strikes on a military structure and an observation post in the Jebbayn area, following cross-border launches into Israeli territory, as tensions with Hezbollah and Lebanon's potential for a full-scale war. This is a terrifying prospect, one that could escalate the conflict to a much greater scale than what has been witnessed in Gaza. In these times of uncertainty and great concern, the role of Zaka has never been more critical than ever. Our volunteers provide essential support, medical assistance, and ensuring the dignified care of the fallen. The challenges we face are growing, with the potential for conflict to spread and affect more lives. |
