Initial jobless claims last week reached 184,000, down 2,000 from the previous week. The claims were slightly higher than the Dow Jones estimate of 182,000.

Sixty percent of workers say their company's retirement benefits are a significant reason for staying in their jobs, up from 41% in 2010, according to a Willis Towers Watson report. In addition, 59% and 46% of workers would pay more from their salary for better retirement and health care benefits, respectively.
