Imaginary Clothespin Flying Butterfly - pink and purple paper and clothespin butterflyIf your toddler loves butterflies, this would be a fun craft to make together. Not only is it a fun craft, but your toddler can play with their butterfly and get in some indoor exercise. I did not think she would have this much fun with this imaginary butterfly, but she did and ran around with the butterfly as if it was flying!

Straw Handbag Planter

By Ana

I found this cute straw handbag for near to nothing. It has a great look and can be useful in a fun way as a garden planter wreath. Add a simply lining (if using live flowers) or not if artificial flowers that can get changed out with the different seasons are chosen. I wanted to give it a more fresh look, so it was updated with spray paint, colorful ribbon, and flowers.

By Ana

No Sew No Glue Ribbon Wreath - finished wreath hanging on a door by the ribbon bow loop hangerThis very simple wreath can be done in a matter of minutes. You only need a foam wreath, ribbon, and 1 straight pin. Because it is not glued, your wreath can be changed out for different looks and the ribbon can be saved for other projects, keeping this project very thrifty.

Fork Bears

By tiffanytallent1981

Fork Bears - white bearOne of my earliest memories in school is visiting the zoo. The only animal I remember vividly from my first grade trip is the bear! They were a bit scary. I've found that friendly crafts lessen the fear and calm the nerves of kids when they are frightened. Kids can create a polar bear, grizzly, panda, or a black bear!

Crochet Keychain Mini-Coin Purse

By melissa

finished crochet purseDo you ever find yourself hunting for quarters when you're out and about? I do! One of the grocery stores I shop at regularly requires that you insert a quarter into the shopping carts in order to use them. My kids love gumball/toy machines, but I never have change for them. And heaven forbid I need to park in front of a meter.

Use a Leather Jacket to Cover a Worn Footstool

By Rachel's Mom

Leather Jacket Footstool -Recovered footstool.I had a woven footstool that was beginning to come apart. Instead of purchasing expensive reed to re-weave it, I decided to cover it with genuine leather from a secondhand coat I purchased for two bucks! I left the woven part of the stool intact to create stability.

Remove Mod Podge (and Glue) from Paintbrush with Acetone

By ohsotif

A bottle of Mod Podge and a paintbrush. When it comes to decoupaging or crafting with Mod Podge or white PVA glue, I like to use a paintbrush. I found that getting the paintbrush completely clean afterwards wasn't the easiest thing. The best one for getting out all the Mod Podge or glue is acetone (or nail polish remover).

I will be posting a couple of fun and easy projects that you can create with your new yarn.

Clay to Support Glued Glass Pieces
I recently had a rather small piece of glass to glue to another piece of glass and found out an easy way to keep it in place while it dried. Take a wad of play dough or modeling clay, press it over the piece to anchor it in place. When dried, just lift it off.
Cereal Box Liner for Child's Craft Surface
I use the cereal box liners as a protective surface when children are painting or gluing. Open the bag up on the seam so that you have a good size surface.
Hershey's Kiss Roses
Hershey's Kiss Roses
Ice Cube Trays for Beads
Organizing beads is simple if you use an ice cube tray to keep them in.
Bee Soap
Melt beeswax and keep warm/liquid. Melt soap base and then mix in beeswax. Add honey and keep stirring until melted. Pour into a soap mold.
Sleep Shirts Made From Old Shirts
My husband has several "banded collar" shirts that he no longer wears. They are still in good shape and I loved the style. However, they are way too big for me to wear w/jeans or anything else.
Use Silicone Bakeware For Small Beads
I use silicone cupcake bakeware for beading with smaller beads. I use one cup for each color and just roll each bead up the "flute" and put it on the needle or string. It makes the project so much more quicker and easier to do.
Ripping Seams Easily
I do a lot of sewing and sometimes make mistakes, resulting in having to rip out seams. While ripping the hem of an old flannel sheet to make pet bed covers, I knew it would take too much time.
Orvus For Washing Quilts
I have a friend who is a prize-winning quilter. She has told our group that she uses only Orvus. This can be obtained at most feed stores or online.
