Local Update: Skateistan in China

Welcome to your monthly update of all things Skateistan! This month we kick off with an exciting update from Mazar-e-Sharif.
Two Skateistan students and one staff member from Afghanistan had an incredible opportunity to travel to Nanjing, China. Atefa, Manochehr* and Noorzai traveled with the Afghan National Olympic Committee to represent Afghanistan in an international skateboarding training camp.

What Skateistan learned about…is a mini series on our blog which shares what we’re learning and how it helps us improve. In this update, we examine the way that engaging with the communities around our Skate Schools has helped us to run more effective programs. We don’t have all the answers, but we try to be proactive and turn problems into solutions.
