It's Our Birthday - Celebrating 10 Years of Skateistan

It's a time for celebration, as Skateistan turns 10 today! On April 11th 2008, Skateistan was born. It’s been 10 years of empowering children and youth through skateboarding and education in Afghanistan, Cambodia and South Africa. What started out when girls stepped on skateboards for the first time in Kabul is now an award-winning global organization working with thousands of children. Today and over the next few months we will celebrate, with stunning new photos to show you, stories to tell and a special Skateistan10 campaign to inspire (kicking off May 10th). Here's to 10 more years!

A Fresh Look for Skateistan 2018

The celebration continues on our website with stunning new photos of Skateistan worldwide taken by the world-renowned photographer, Andy Buchanan. Last month, Andy spent 3 weeks visiting all of our Skate Schools to capture our programs, staff, students and lots of smiles. The result is a collection of beautiful photos that capture day-to-day programs at Skateistan as well as incredible portraits of our students. Thank you to Andy for supporting us with his incredible photography!

Skateistan10 Campaign - Coming May 10th...

New Logo = New Tees, Featuring Sky Brown

We love our new logo so much that we printed it on a collection of new tees. First up is theBig Logo Tee, as worn by Citizen of Skateistan and pro-skater, Sky Brown, at the launch of the Phnom Penh Skate School in February.

Also available is the Small Chest Logo Tee inBlack or White. All our tees are made from 100% organic cotton and manufactured solely using solar and wind power. All proceeds go to supporting us so pick one up to celebrate our new look and birthday!
