Online IETM Meeting with Ukrainian Colleagues and Official Statement
As advocates of freedom and democracy, IETM stands in solidarity with Ukraine, its people, its artistic community and our Ukrainian members. Our hearts go out to our Ukrainian colleagues and friends who are fighting for their freedom and for their lives. A united international network, IETM speaks against conflict, injustice and violence, and for dialogue, understanding and peace.
The IETM Secretariat has been closely following Putin's regime invasion into Ukraine and reactions from our artistic communities. We have consulted with expert organisations, members of the IETM Board of Directors and Advisory Committee, other networks and professionals in Ukraine and in neighbouring countries on how IETM can best support the Ukrainian artistic community.
IETM wants to make a meaningful contribution and to work with organisations who have expert knowledge. For the time being, we would like to invite you to an online talk this week, and to provide you with useful links to support the Ukrainian people.
1. Online discussion with Ukrainian colleagues and Artists at Risk
This Wednesday 9 March 2022 at 13:00 CET, we will hold an online discussion with Ukrainian colleagues as well as the founders of the non-profit organisation Artists at Risk, who support artists in need.
The aim is to get some first-hand insights about the situation and to understand how we, professionals from the international performing arts sector, can support our colleagues and their relatives in the most relevant and meaningful way.
