Sometimes we all need a little nudge

And that little nudge comes to us between 13-17 September.

These are the dates of National Wills Week, when we’re reminded about the importance of firstly, having a legal Will, and secondly, keeping it up to date.

If you already have a Will, then you’re to be congratulated.

But you’d be surprised by how many people neglect to draw up this really important document, and also neglect to update it when circumstances change.

If you don’t need this reminder yourself, perhaps you know someone in your family or friendship circle who needs that ‘little nudge’ to seek professional advice and get their Will drafted.

The two biggest reasons for having a Will are (1) You make the decisions about what will happen to your assets of a lifetime when you no longer need them yourself; and (2) to ensure care of your family, and others that you may care about.

Sometimes ‘others’ may also include a cause that’s important to you, perhaps one that you’ve financially supported. And should CANSA be such a cause, you may wish to consider leaving a gift of some kind to CANSA in your Will to take your care for cancer patients and their families into the future.

A special benefit of this gift is that it costs you nothing now. And you’re able to change your mind at any time. Should you wish to discuss the matter with us, it would be in complete confidence. And should CANSA already be a beneficiary in your Will, we’d greatly appreciate knowing this, so that we can thank you appropriately.
