CalEPA needs to hear from you.
Dear Friend,

We have to cut California’s dependence on oil if we’re going to substantially cut climate and local air pollution.

How do we best do that?

Thanks to a state budget appropriation, two studies being planned by the California Environmental Protection Agency (CalEPA) to help identify the best ways to reduce demand for oil in the transportation sector and the best way to transition away from oil production in California.

Help make sure those studies give us the answers we need to cut fossil fuel dependence. Attend the workshop in Wilmington on November 14 designed to collect public comment.

We know that the oil and gas industry are going to try to hijack the two studies. We know they will be pushing behind the scenes and publicly for milder studies that won’t provide the roadmap the state needs to help us unhook from oil.

CalEPA needs to hear from people who live and work in oil-production regions and want the economies in those regions to change for the better and become less dependent on oil production.

Click here for more information on the workshop near you and sample talking points.

Your voice can help make sure we keep cutting climate pollution in the state in a way that is fair to everyone--and fast enough to make a difference for our future.

Thanks for your help.

Sincerely,
Kathryn Phillips
