The Social Democratic Party of outgoing Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson is expected to come out ahead, but the political landscape could be altered if the far-right Sweden Democrats overtake the Moderate Party. |

Parliamentary Elections in Italy, 25 September The right-wing coalition of Forza Italia, the League and Fratelli d'Italia is expected to win the snap election to be held on 25 September. This comes in the wake of the collapse of Mario Draghi's government in July after the the left and centre forces failed to unite. Giorgia Meloni, leader of the far-right Fratelli d'Italia, could become Council President. |
