As the vehicle becomes more connected, more autonomous, and more electrified there is not enough space within the vehicle to keep adding these features and ECUs independently. Besides, every time one of these are added, the vehicle becomes more expensive and more complex.
Automakers need to adopt an E/E software architecture, combining the functions of the various features & ECUs into one controllable system, allowing the vehicle to become more connected, scalable and updatable.
