New features in the platform that could put the “spring” into your spring
Translation module and Commerce segments

It’s May, the sun is (mostly) shining, spring is definitely in the air, and like the green shoots we see in the parks, fields and forests in which we’ve all been exercising over the last few weeks, the world is emerging from slumber and is ready to burst back into life. 

Hopefully, you’ve got your plans in place to make the most of this opportunity, but to help you we believe that we’ve got a couple of new features that you could really make a difference in how you engage with your audience.

First up is our new Commerce Segmenting option:
Commerce Segments
We’ve added a new, powerful segmentation option for anyone who wants to work more with merchandise, stock and product categories.

With this update, we build a bridge between previously purchased products and metadata from product feeds. With our new Commerce Segments, we enable our One-to-Many integration to build segments based on previous purchases for example.
This means that you’re able to present products to your customers in which you know they have shown interest in the past. This is stuff they really are interested in. The upshot of this being that you serve up highly targeted and personalised content in your campaigns - campaigns which will, by their very nature, perform much better than standard campaigns.

Translation Module
Recent events have also challenged us all to explore new ways of engaging with our audiences, and even perhaps to think about spreading our wings into new territories. 

That’s why, here at MarketingPlatform, we are delighted to share the news about our new Translation module. 

The Translation feature is a super new component of the platform, especially for those of you that would like to send emails in other languages, ​​but just may not have the in-house skills on hand to get the job done.

The feature gives you a couple of options:

1. You can choose to translate using the Google Translate feature where your urgent “split-second” campaign is translated and ready for immediate use.

or:

2. You can choose to make use of the integration we have made with the translation agency LanguageWire, where through tokens purchased from LanguageWire you can have a person translate and post-edit your text. You need an API key from LanguageWire, which is inserted into MarketingPlatform, and then you are 'good to go'.

Turning on the extra ‘Translation’ column in your campaigns summary means you can always see the status of your translation.
The feature is part of the Premium, eCommerce and Enterprise packages and will eventually become pay-per-use. You can find it on the 'View Campaign' page of any campaign, where the option is presented via the drop-down menu:
