Hey there Earth Day may have passed, but it’s never too late to marvel at the wonders of nature. One of our favorite ways to discover more about plant life is our How To Make a Terrarium project. |
| Your kids will exercise their creative thinking and design skills as they learn how to design an ecosystem where plants can grow and thrive. They’ll uncover how plants turn light into energy via photosynthesis and observe each stage of the water cycle (evaporation, condensation, and precipitation) in action. Plus, your amateur botanists will gain hands-on experience in the practical skill of growing and maintaining various plants. It’s a great way to give them a sense of responsibility as they witness how these natural processes create a self-sustaining ecosystem. |
| Don’t forget to snap photos of your students' terrarium and share them with us on Instagram @homesciencetools – we'd love to feature your mini-ecosystem! Have a great Saturday, The Home Science Tools Team |
