But it won’t include much on a variable likely to shake up their plans: President Donald Trump. Legislators are already weighing the ways they might have to bridge budget gaps if federal officials cut funding streams to Minnesota. A new economic forecast is released on Thursday. | |

| ⚖️ Hennepin County Attorney's Office refuses to press charges against man allegedly possessing illegal drugs and gun. Video of the arrest — in which two Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office deputies are seen striking the man in the head while holding him down — has been circulating on social media. 🐕 40th running of the John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon on track, despite warm temperatures. After a postponement in January and then a change to the race start location earlier this month, the John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon got underway Sunday along the North Shore of Lake Superior. ⚽ Photos: Fans celebrate the home opener for Minnesota United. Minnesota United fans kicked off the season at home with a win for the Loons. Kevin Yeboah scored a goal in the 69th minute to help Minnesota United beat CF Montreal 1-0 in St. Paul on Saturday. 🏆 The 2025 Oscars: Heavy on speeches, light on politics and one big winner. Director Sean Baker’s film "Anora," the story of a sex worker who marries a former client and gets mixed up with some Russian oligarchs, became his breakout on the Oscar stage. 🗳️ Poll: Majorities say state of the union is not strong, and Trump is rushing change. Most respondents expect prices to go up. President Donald Trump returns to the House chamber on Tuesday for his first address to a joint session of Congress since retaking the White House. 🏀 NBA fines Timberwolves' Edwards $35K for lingering after ejection, tossing ball into stands; season total at $320K. Minnesota guard Anthony Edwards was fined $35,000 by the NBA for failing to leave the court in a timely manner following his ejection from a recent game and throwing the ball into the stands. 🚨 One man dead after shooting at Brooklyn Park apartment complex, another wounded. One man is dead and a woman is recovering from injuries after a shooting that took place on Friday morning at a Brooklyn Park apartment building. Brooklyn Park Police say the shooting was “domestic” in nature. |
