Not everyone can afford to uproot their lives and attend seminary as a full-time student, which is why Dallas Theological Seminary has developed multiple ways for those already in ministry to earn a world-class seminary degree. At Dallas Theological Seminary we believe in “equipping the equippers” and have developed a modern approach to seminary that is both flexible and affordable for those who are currently in ministry, or who cannot relocate for seminary.
Here are just a few ways YOU can earn one of 14 degrees that will enhance your ministry and prepare you in the Bible, theology, and practical ministry – without uprooting your life:
The ONLINE approach: DTS offers three FULLY ONLINE programs that students can complete without ever having to travel to a campus, though we love it when students visit!
The WEEKEND INTENSIVE approach: This format allows students to complete the bulk of their courses online, but also meets ONE WEEKEND PER SEMESTER at one of our regional locations across the world. We have sites from Atlanta to New Zealand!
The SUPERWEEK approach: In this format, students attend a class for a ONE-WEEK INTENSIVE to complete all the face-to-face campus requirements while participating in online coursework before and after the intensive. We call these SuperWeeks!
The COMBINATION approach: Students are NOT LIMITED to one of the above methods and can choose to combine all these formats to pursue nearly any degree that DTS offers. For example, for one semester a student can decide to take all their classes online, but the next semester they may choose to travel to Nashville, or Austin, or Washington, DC to take a weekend intensive course.
The RESIDENCY approach: Students want to attend seminary the traditional way. DTS has campuses that offer residential programs (as well as intensive formats) in Dallas, Washington DC, and Houston. WITH OVER 14 DEGREES AND FLEXIBLE FORMATS, DTS IS SEMINARY YOU CAN DO!
