Regional Roundup
Question of the Week
Tuesday we asked: An anonymous donor gifted $12 million to Worcester Polytechnic Institute, the second-largest sum of money donated to the school. The person is described as a regular donor and attendee of school reunions since his 20th. The figure is second only to Robert Foisie, who donated $40 million in 2014.
How often do you donate to your alma mater?
  • I don't donate to any entity that practices fully tenured employment.
  • Tuition was my donation to all of their bloated salaries, followed up by paying for 2 kids tuition at an even more inflated rate for even more bloated salaries for a staff so large that I believe they used every diminutive in the dictionary for all of the multiple titles.
  • If they can't pay their expenses with the increases in tuition (bubble) then they need to do some seriously soul-searching.
