Steve Bannon stepped down Tuesday from his top post at Breitbart News after his comments to author Michael Wolff generated a firestorm of criticism from President Trump and his allies. Wolff quoted Bannon as saying a 2016 meeting Donald Trump Jr. held with a Russian lawyer was "treasonous," among other disparaging comments about the Trump White House. President Trump responded last week that Bannon had clearly "lost his mind" when he was pushed out of the White House last summer.
