Stopping the spread of COVID-19 is “largely going to be determined by the decisions each of us as Minnesotans make." That's from Health Commissioner Jan Malcolm, who said the state has received some 370 complaints in recent weeks tied to restaurants and bars over possible violations of the mask mandates and social distancing guidelines.
Intensive care cases have ticked up again. As of yesterday, ICU cases were at their highest level in five weeks.

And no, it won't be a positive influence. Michael Osterholm, head of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota, told MPR News that the South Dakota event could prove to be a major event in the COVID-19 outbreak given its length, crowd size and the fact that it gathers people from across the country into one small town. More than 250,000 people are expected to attend.
In non-coronavirus news, more disturbing video has surfaced showing the moments before George Floyd was killed by Minneapolis police. British publication Daily Mail published leaked bodycam videos . The paper writes: "The tapes show in minute detail how a very distressed Floyd begs 'Mr. Officer, please don't shoot me. Please man,' before the struggle that ended with his death on May 25. It also shows how belligerent cops cursed at and manhandled the sobbing suspect, ignoring his pleas for compassion. ... Floyd is even heard predicting his own death. 'I'll probably just die this way,' he says." A warning: The Daily Mail video and article are incredibly disturbing and violent, so please consider that before choosing to click.
