| Storms hit again, cause widespread damage |

| Thousands of South Australians lost power, properties and crops were damaged as wild weather hit again on Thursday night. Hailstones up to five centimetres in size pelted Adelaide's suburbs, Barossa Valley and the Adelaide Hills and even forced a brief evacuation of the weather bureau's Adelaide office. |

| SA Australian of the Year winners announced |

South Australia’s 2022 Australian of Year winners were announced last week at an awards ceremony hosted by ABC Adelaide Breakfast's Ali Clarke.
Vaccination researcher Professor Helen Marshall was named as SA Australian of the Year for her pioneering work in the prevention of meningococcal B. Educator and author Mark Le Messurier was chosen as SA Senior Australian of the Year and special needs dentistry consultant Doctor Trudy Lin, the SA Young Australian of the Year.
Adelaide's Monique Bareham, who has lymphoedema and has worked tirelessly to reduce the cost of a critical medical item for others like herself, was given the honour of South Australia's 2022 Local Hero. |

| Seals ravaging fishing industry in Coorong |

Federal member for Barker, Tony Pasin, has taken the issue of the Coorong’s long-nosed fur seals to Canberra. He says the seals are thriving with no natural predators and are ruining the livelihoods of local fishers.
He told David Bevan on ABC Adelaide Mornings why he compares the culling of the native seals to the annual reduction of kangaroo numbers. |
