Inquest findings into baby's death: An inquest into the death of a baby in the Upper Hunter has found a lack of child support caseworkers in the area contributed to his death. The seven-month-old was found limp and blue by his mother at an Aberdeen home in May 2020. The New South Wales Coroner's Court heard the cause of death was a concussive brain injury, and the partner of the baby's mother was being investigated as a suspect before his own death last year. The inquest found the Department of Communities and Justice had received four reports about the baby's family which were never responded to because of a lack of staff.
