Hi Achternaam,

Did you have a good Easter with your family?

This year, we celebrated both the holiday AND my son’s 22nd birthday! (He was also born on Resurrection Sunday. 🥰) It’s hard to believe our kiddos have grown up into young men. It really does happen in the blink of an eye.

And just like birthdays come quickly, so does the changing of the seasons. Before we know it, it will be time to start picking fresh fruits and veggies outdoors again.

I know I mentioned strawberry recipes in my last email, but there’s a LOT of ways to use them, so I wanted to feature a few ideas here as well.

How to Can Strawberries

Canning strawberries is not hard. I kept reading about how canning strawberries is not really a good idea.  They don’t turn out well, they fade, they get soft and mushy. Yet, here I am: Canning strawberries just because I’m nosy and I need to try it myself. 😉 Learn what happens and my final thoughts. Will I ever do it again?

Dehydrating Strawberries

Learn how to dry strawberries with just a few simple steps. You can turn fresh strawberries into sweet bites that are perfect for snacking, baking, or adding to your favorite recipes. We love them!

Canning Strawberry Lemonade Concentrate

Mix strawberries, lemon juice, and sugar. Cook a bit, pour into jars, and process in boiling water bath. Enjoy homemade goodness anytime! No more powders with questionable ingredients.
