Music 9th Annual Port City Music Festival Thursday, June 8 @CAM, 7:00 PM. Free and open to the public. We are pleased to again be one of the venues for the Port City Music Festival offering a series of free concerts presented under the direction of cellist and conductor Dr. Stephen Framil. Musical selections and musicians for the concert at CAM include: Shostakovich - "Sonata in D minor for Cello & Piano, Op. 40" and "Piano Quintet in G minor, Op. 57", J.S. Bach - "Chaconne for Solo Violin, BWV 1004" with Luigi Mazzocchi, Violinist, Danijela Zezelj-Gualdi, Violinist, Clark Spencer, Violist, Stephen Framil, Cellist and Daniel Lau, Pianist. The 2017 season will welcome back favorites pianist Daniel Lau, violinist Luigi Mazzocchi, clarinetist John Laughton, mezzo-soprano Kyle Engler in addition to other guest musicians. |

Illustrated Lecture & Workshop Beyond the Horizon artist Jason Mitcham Friday, June 9, 3:00 PM - Special day and time Primarily a painter, Jason Mitcham's work has expanded into the realm of video, creating stop-motion animations from paintings. Mitcham will discuss his work currently on view in CAM's exhibition Beyond the Horizon, his inspiration and process in this overview of his career. Treat yourself and also take a workshop with Jason Mitcham, "Drawing Movement" June 9 - 11 through CAM's Museum School. Workshop registration includes admission to his lecture. |
