This would be a fun craft time activity if your toddler is into rocketships! We were able to make this craft with supplies we had at home. It was fun to make together and he had a blast playing with his new creation and to more days of playing!

I made these for a friend who loves donuts so much, she collects donut shaped items. They're very easy to make, using just cork board, felt, and embroidery string. They look cute on the table, but do cause a donut craving. Be careful!

Rice Filled Paper Heart Shakers
By tiffanytallent1981
There are so many kids' activities for Valentine's Day. I used songs and different instruments in the classroom to help kids learn everything from routines and rules to how to spell their names. I also let them create an instrument for different holidays and themes. For Valentine's Day we made the heart shaker.

Eye Love You Valentine's Day Art Work
By 15mhhm15
Throughout the "dating" period - my fiancé and I would send cheesy text messages and we'd always do the emoji eye heart finger pointing to emphasize I love you, sort of in "code".

Handcrafted Notebook and Planner
By katrine2706
It is most convenient to complete goals through a list of plans. The idea struck me when I was making a mini work scheduler. I realized that it is much easier to execute activities with a guide so why not make one at home.

Make an easy quick gift all from recycled materials. You will need the cuff from an old shirt, scrap of light weight cardboard, a scrap of cotton batting or flannel, and some floss for stitching a design.

I got these cute LOVE socks from the dollar store. The only problem with words written on socks is that the letters tend to stretch out to the shape of your calves, and I've got shapely horse legs! I thought they'd look much cuter as arm warmers, especially with their longer length.

This is a great little craft where all supplies come from a dollar store. I recently made a craft using one half of a heart box from chocolates and wanted to come up with another for the other half.

Make Quilt From Old Sweatshirts
By Judy Stahl
Sweatshirts can be recycled to make good quilts. They are warm enough that just a backing rather than adding batting may be sufficiently warm if a lightweight quilt is desired. I often alternate sweatshirt materials with jean material.

Easy Headrest Pillow for Your Chair
By Sandi/Poor But Proud
I buy afghans to "frog" (unravel) for the yarn. Most are good quality yarn but sometimes I buy something that I find later, isn't worth the time. Tonight, in my $1.00 chair from Goodwill As Is, I made it worth the money.

If you work in beads, you know that certain sizes should stay together, even within their color. But who wants to hand-pick through beads just to separate them. I sure don't. So I was recycling one of the Dollar Tree scented bead air fresheners the other day and kept this handy little lid. Today it hit me like a big bag of beads!

This is a purse I made for my 7 year old daughter and her friend. I used an old pocket from my husband's old jeans. Carefully cut right along the edge of the pocket. You can use "Fray-Check" on the sides to keep it from raveling later.

Protect Paint Brushes With a Straw

Our paintbrushes fare much better when they are rinsed out, shaken off and stored in a straw. They can be set upright in a jar, this way, without the brush being damaged. We are stenciling our kitchen cabinets by hand ;)
