Dear John Do, | Around 348 million tons of plastic are produced across the globe annually, 60 tons of which in Europe alone. But only around 30 per cent of European plastic waste is recycled, according to a recent study by Statista. Precious Plastic Hamburg, a local offshoot of the global initiative, operates its own recycling plant in Harburg. The company is keen to raise awareness of recycling plastic waste. More and more initiatives, companies and start-ups are positioning themselves in Hamburg with sustainable, innovative business ideas. Hamburg News will offer you more reports on these issues in 2020. We wish you and your family a peaceful Christmas and a healthy, happy and successful New Year. These and other daily business news and reports can always be found in German and English on the platform Hamburg News. If you like our newsletter, please recommend it to other readers. Do you have any suggestions or tips? Then please write to redaktion@hamburg-news.hamburg. Sincerely, Hamburg News Editors |
