We also chose to partner with Freeman, who has committed to collaborating on the construction of an industry-wide roadmap toward net zero emissions by 2050. The MGM Grand in Las Vegas utilizes environmentally-responsible pillars such as clean water and sanitation, affordable clean energy, and responsible consumption and production to support its sustainability priorities.
MGM Resorts has also implemented sustainable practices – reducing water, energy and waste, and the use of solar energy – and events to become a greener business.
The hotel chain is committed to source 100% renewable electricity nationally and 80% globally by 2030. Already, up to 90% of MGM Las Vegas’s daytime power needs are produced by their solar portfolio of 65 million square feet of buildings across 13 properties.
Freeman has partnered with Honeycomb Strategies to develop additional sustainability services including Sustainability Impact Assessments and Material Donation programs.
Freeman uses energy-efficient (Energy Star) electronic equipment when available and mandates power- down policy—all AV equipment is turned off overnight when possible.
They also print all single-use rigid graphics on high quality recyclable substrates, aisle signs on 100% recyclable, high quality paper with only non-VOC inks. |
