It's the beginning of the Nyungar season of Bunuru (Feb & Mar), the second summer and the season of adolescence. Bunuru is the hottest part of the year with hot easterly winds and little to no rain. If you’re lucky to live near the coast, most afternoons a cooling sea breeze will help with the heat. Look out for white flowers as many of our local flowering gums like the Kardan (Marri) and Djiraly (Jarrah) are in bloom this time of year. Source: Bureau of Meteorology and Derbal Nara. |
