| | | Sustainability Grants for Schools and Community Our Sustainability Grants program is now accepting applications all year round to support schools. Schools can apply for grants of up to $4,000.
Previous projects undertaken by schools include: Rejuvenation of school grounds and nearby bushland through revegetation efforts. Establishment of food gardens and bushtucker gardens. Implementation of waste sorting systems and composting initiatives. Creation of nature play areas using natural materials. Large-scale waterwise planting and landscaping projects. Setting up native plant propagation stations and educational resources. Organizing bike-to-school workshops, events, and providing equipment. Conducting waste audits to improve waste management practices. Installation of Aboriginal culture interpretive signage and hosting workshops. Workshops and activities focused on bird and microbat conservation, including habitat box building. Assistance for school environmental clubs through workshops and provision of tools.
