Virtual Studio Tour with Artist David Harper Clemons
Thursday, February 16, 7 p.m. ET

Join metalsmith David Harper Clemons for a virtual tour of his North Carolina studio. In this exclusive, behind-the-scenes look, Clemons discusses how he creates art that explores identity and gives meaning to common objects that extend beyond their expected uses.

Participants will have the opportunity to see the tools he regularly uses in his mixed media and metal work and ask him questions in a live chat. Clemons’s artwork The Weight of Deferred Gratification is featured in the exhibition This Present Moment: Crafting A Better World, currently on view at SAAM’s Renwick Gallery.
