Mealsgiving aims to turn the Tuesday before Thanksgiving into a holiday about feeding others 

A local comedian is teaming up with Greater Cleveland restaurants to help transform the Tuesday before Thanksgiving into a new kind of holiday all about giving back. Ricky Smith, the founder of the RAKE (Random Acts of Kindness Everywhere) nonprofit, has declared that the Tuesday before Thanksgiving as Mealsgiving. The idea is to get everyone, from restaurants to individual families, to come together in the spirit of giving food. READ MORE

Parking confusion and ticketing at West Side Market prompts changes 

Some West Side Market shoppers are upset about $30 parking tickets for skipping out on parking fees. It seems the new gateless process is confusing, and they didn’t know they were in violation. After examining the issue this week, the non-profit Cleveland Public Market Corporation, which operates the West Side Market, has a plan to simplify parking procedures and minimize parking tickets. The Paris Room Bistro in Chagrin Falls is closing forever on Saturday, Jan. 25, according to the little restaurant’s Instagram account. “In the chaos of life to have realized a dream is a very lucky thing,” noted owner Sali McSherry said on the Instagram post announcing that the restaurant is closing. The Great Grog Bake Off

The Grog Shop is returning for its third one-night-only baking competition based on television’s “The Great British Bake Off," at 8 p.m. on November 19. Amateur bakers will prepare 24 mini pies with fillings of their choice for the “signature bake” competition. Hot chocolate trail launched at 11 NE Ohio locations  

The inaugural Tour Lake County Hot Chocolate Trail is under way. The digital-passport tour allows participants to explore cafes and businesses across the county, comparing decadent hot chocolates. Participants can download a free passport, and those who check in and try hot chocolates at eight of 11 featured locations will earn a limited-edition #TourLakeCOcoa mug. Sora to host Taylor Swift tailgate brunch for Browns, Chiefs game

Sora in The Flats is gearing up for the Cleveland Browns to take on the Kansas City Chiefs with a Taylor Swift-themed tailgate celebration.
