| | | | | | | As we close the book on what has been a huge decade for Australian music, it is only fitting that Tame Impala’s global hit ‘The Less I Know The Better’ has been voted as the #1 song of the decade.
Over the course of the 2010s, Tame Impala’s ascent from intimate solo project to 5-piece festival headliner is a fairy-tale that’s enchanted everyone. We all watched in awe as the gifted Fremantle polymath behind it all, Kevin Parker, went from making music on his lonesome to becoming one of the most influential and universally revered sonic architects in the world.
Already well revered by 2015, Tame Impala took things to the next level when they dropped their third studio album Currents, featuring a glorious song about heartbreak called ‘The Less I Know The Better’. With this song, we heard a supernaturally gifted songwriter, producer, arranger and instrumentalist working at the peak of his pop instincts. | | | | | | |
