Tazewell County is back in the blue: COVID-19 ER visits have declined

PEORIA -- Tazewell County is no longer in the orange.

A wide-eyed soldier was attacked with kisses. A smiling gent did a headstand on Main Street. Raucous teens rollicked in jalopies.

PEORIA -- Just after 1 a.m., a Peoria Fire engine was struck as it was passing through a Far North Peoria intersection.

Fourteen of Illinois' 102 counties were deemed at "warning level" for a resurgence of COVID-19 on Friday, with the state blaming the virus's spread in part on poor messaging from local elected officials in "communities where there is little public concern for consequences or enforcement" of social distancing and isolation orders.

PEORIA -- Two people were stabbed at a West Peoria bar.
