Hi John, Japanese ICT giant Fujitsu has signed a three-year contract with the Australian Department of Defence to provide desktop-related services for approximately 100,000 defence personnel across more than 450 locations around Australia.
A team of researchers at Duke University in North Carolina are working to develop an app that will be able to do real-time fact-checks on phones, TV screens or tablets by the time of the next US Presidential election in 2020. T-Mobile is best positioned among US telcos to deliver "real 5G whenever that reality actually materialises", the analyst firm BTIG Research says, adding that its deep and unused low-band spectrum should enable it to launch real 5G before any other firm. Unified communications and collaboration provider MNF Enterprise now provides a PSTN calling integration for Microsoft Teams. Singapore telco Singtel, Singapore Polytechnic and Ericsson have opened the country's first live 5G facility at the polytechnic's Dover Road campus, to serve as a training centre, test bed and ideation lab to develop Singapore's 5G ecosystem and encourage adoption of 5G by businesses.
