Terror Attack in Jerusalem Shuk

Our hearts are heavy as we share the news of another horrific terror attack in Israel. Earlier today, a car-ramming attack took place near the Machane Yehudah shuk in Jerusalem, resulting in six people injured, one of them in critical condition.

The terrorist, disguised as a Chareidi Jew, rammed his car at high speed into pedestrians waiting at the crosswalk. A brave civilian on the scene shot and killed the attacker, preventing further harm. The terrorist has been identified as Hatem Nejima, a 39-year-old resident of Beit Safafa in east Jerusalem, who had a background of criminal offenses and mental issues.

This attack follows a disturbing pattern of increased violence in recent months. As a direct response, we at Zaka Tel-Aviv are on high alert and expanding our efforts to protect as many lives as possible. We will be setting up additional command centers and mobilizing all available resources in the coming hours.
