Over 100 people were treated Saturday afternoon after a chemical leak at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Splashtown in Spring, according to local officials. Investigators believe the leak was some sort of mixture of bleach and sulfuric acid. According to Harris County Fire Marshal's Office, 31 people were taken to the hospital while 55 refused transport. Officials said those affected were decontaminated before being allowed to leave the park. As of Sunday morning, all 28 patients treated by the Memorial Hermann medical system had been discharged in good condition, according to representative. In a statement Sunday, a Splashtown representative said the park will remain closed Sunday and Monday as an investigation into Saturday's incident continues.

Three Henderson County fire departments joined forces to fight a house fire in Peninsula Point Terrace Saturday night. According to a post on the Payne Springs Fire Rescue page, one PSFR truck was dispatched out to the scene of the fire at 8:17 p.m. Sunday. Engine 4 arrived to find smoke pouring from a two-story house. "Engine 4 was fire attack," the Facebook post stated. "The initial crews made a good stop on the fire." The Gun Barrel City and Eustace fire departments also assisted with the fire. According to the Facebook post, one PSFR firefighter suffered a minor injury. EMS personnel transported one person who suffered burn injuries to their lower extremities to a Henderson County hospital. "The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Henderson County Fire Marshal's Office," the Facebook post stated.

VIDEO: Firefighters battled a fire at a car dealership early Sunday morning, officials said. Just after 1 a.m., the San Antonio Fire Department responded to the 2700 block of Southwest Military Drive for a structure fire at an auto dealership, authorities say. When fire crews arrived on scene, they said there was heavy smoke and fire coming from the roof of the office building. Fire crews were able to put the fire out quickly. Fire officials say the cause of the fire is unknown at this time but arson and fire investigators were called to the scene to determine the cause of the fire. Officials say fire crews checked the building to make sure the fire didn't spread through the attic. Over 14 units responded to the fire and there were no reported injuries.

Symphony Alexander didn't have to say much about a fire that destroyed her home in Nixon on June 17. Everyone else is doing the talking for her. "I opened my door, and she said 'fire' because my wall was on fire," Kristan Baker said. Baker is mother to Symphony, Clarity and Harmony – ages six, three and two. Around 10:30 that June night, she was getting ready to put the girls to bed. Symphony jumped into action because the house was on fire. "Her instinct was to grab her sisters, Clarity and Harmony, and get them out of the house," Baker said. The girls got outside of the burning home. Their mother tried putting out the electrical fire by patting it. The flames grew out of control. "The fire started in my mom's room... under the A/C," Symphony said. One of her sisters tried running back into the house.

Firefighters saved a number of pets at a northeast-side house fire Saturday night, and no human residents were injured in the blaze. The flames erupted around 8:30 p.m. along Ledge Rock Street, near Thousand Oaks and Henderson Pass. An incident commander with the San Antonio Fire Department said the homeowner was out of town. Two dogs and three cats were saved from the flames thanks to the efforts of first responders. The damage was estimated to amount to a loss of $50,000 to $60,000. The incident commander said the fire was believed to have begun in the attic, and an electrical issue may be to blame.

VIDEO: Police have confirmed that children who were unaccounted for after a deadly shooting spree and house fire on Sunday, July 18, have been located and are safe. Police did not say how many children they were looking for and have not yet provided additional information about the circumstances of how they were found. At least two people were killed Sunday, and several more were injured in the shootings and the house fire. Tucson police Chief Chris Magnus said on Sunday the incidents began with a call about a house fire near South Campbell Avenue and East Irene Vista at 3:45 p.m. At the same time, an armed suspect went to the Quincie Douglas Center at Silverlake Park and approached an ambulance that was in the area for a separate call, but staging as a backup for the house fire.

VIDEO: A car hit a fuel tanker which burst into large flames in the parking lot of an OnCue in Oklahoma City, police said. Just before the car crashed into the tanker, the fuel truck was filling up with diesel at the gas station near NW 164th and Portland Avenue. The crash happened about 2 a.m. Monday and police said the driver who caused the crash is on the run. The police helicopter was searching the area. The other two people involved, the driver of the semi and an OnCue employee, are both at the hospital and are being treated for minor injuries. It is unclear why the OnCue employee was involved. Fire department officials said they think the employee was struck by the vehicle before the vehicle hit the fueling truck. The building was evacuated.

VIDEO: As part of the city's plan to repaint its public safety vehicles, nine fire trucks are slated to turn gray. In the past few months, the city has been repainting and detailing its entire fleet. Police cars, EMS ambulances and sanitation trucks are getting a makeover. Fire trucks are last, and the fire union is trying to draw the line. KDKA has learned the fire union will deliver a letter to Mayor Bill Peduto and Pittsburgh City Council on Monday asking that the fire engines stay red. In addition to upsetting tradition, the fire union is objecting to repainting the vehicles on financial and public safety grounds. Union President Ralph Sicuro said the trucks will be taken out of service while a half-dozen other trucks are in the city garage for repairs. He contends that the gray color is a safety hazard because it will make the trucks less visible to the public.

The Volunteer First Responder Act is a bipartisan bill that has been reintroduced by U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin and three other Senators from various states. "We are advancing bipartisan legislation that would create a greater incentive to do this sort of community service by qualifying EMT's and first responder firefighter for two programs," Baldwin said. One program that could be provided is the United Stated Agricultural Departments single family housing guaranteed loan program and the other is the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Developments good neighbor next door sales program. "What this would permit is people who are emergency first responders and volunteer in their communities to have a little additional income and still qualify for those programs", Baldwin said.

It's like a gym for your brain. As issues like anxiety, depression and restless sleep have spiked during the pandemic, some people are turning to neurofeedback, a kind of gym for the brain. It's a method that practitioners and some clients say can improve symptoms associated with everything from concussions to ADHD. In a nutshell, if you were to map a person's brain, you would find regions that are closely associated with different functions. The dozens of different areas help with emotions, verbal memory, or impulsivity to name a few. Each person's brain will have strengths and weaknesses in the circuitry of and electricity that fires within the different regions. In neurofeedback, the practitioner hooks sensors to top of a person's head, over the regions where the person wishes to improve function.
