Greetings!
Thank you to everyone who donated to Foodwise in support of healthy farms, families, and communities! With your generous contributions, we raised $56,675, getting us to 95% of our $60,000 goal for Foodwise farmers markets, food access initiatives, and education programs in the New Year.
This year, we’ll be celebrating 30 years of growing thriving communities through the power and joy of local food with you. In 2023, we’re resolved to:
Keep our farmers markets thriving, supporting more than 130 small, sustainable farms and local food businesses, and providing incubation opportunities for dozens of BIPOC, women, and immigrant food entrepreneurs. Ensure access to fresh, healthy food for thousands of Bay Area residents through programs like Market Match, which helps families on a budget make the most of their food dollars at the farmers market. Provide free food education and job opportunities for thousands of San Francisco youth, and expand adult education so that our community can share food wisdom and co-create a connected and resilient local food system together.
