Thank you for helping save my life
Give hope this holiday | | | | | | When I was 8, I found out I had osteosarcoma (bone cancer). At first, my doctors thought it was just growing pains, but then a scan of my leg showed I had a tumor. | My doctor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Children's Cancer Hospital thought I should have a surgery called a rotationplasty and nine months of chemotherapy. | My parents were worried about the surgery because it would turn my ankle into a knee. But I told them I wanted to do it, because it would give me the chance to run and play sports with my friends like I used to. | The surgery worked and I don't have any regrets! Since then, I've worked hard in physical therapy to get stronger and learn how to run and be active again. I'm even playing softball now! | I'm really grateful for everyone at MD Anderson who saved my life. And I'm grateful for people like you who support what they do. | Your gift today could help another person like me get better. Please donate today. | | Thank you and happy holidays! | Elise Robinson | Survivor |
