There's so much that Oregon Democrats can be proud of in 2020.

But what I am especially proud of is that for the first time in at least 20 years, there was a Democrat running in every single Oregon Legislative district on the ballot.

This is a testament to the hard work done by organizers and volunteers in communities all across Oregon to recruit great Democratic candidates to run for office.

It also speaks to the courage of those candidates to run, their willingness to serve their fellow Oregonians, and their incredible dedication and perseverance to campaign while facing unprecedented challenges because of the pandemic.

We celebrated many Democratic victories up and down the ballot in November. We also experienced our fair share of heartbreaking results.

But no matter the outcome, each and every one of these candidates — from every corner of this state — deserves our great recognition and thanks. They spread the Democratic message in all parts of our state and contributed mightily to Oregon's huge Democratic success.

I hope you'll join me to take a moment to thank our wonderful Democratic candidates in 2020.
