Dave joined Echo Valley Country Club in 1970 when Club Founder, E.C. Coppola, recruited him from Newton Country Club. That was the first time Dave was recruited to EVCC, but it wasn’t to be the last. Dave spent most of the 1970’s helping to establish Echo Valley as a formidable golf, tennis and social club known for being family-friendly and having excellent food. In the late 70’s, Dave joined Guido Fenu in operating Guido’s restaurant downtown in the Savory Hotel. In 1987, Dave was recruited back to the Club for the second time after Michael Coppola took back management responsibilities from Club Corporation of America. Tirelessly working in every aspect of the club operation including filling the role of chef, Dave started the Club on a very successful ascent that created the confidence to remodel the clubhouse, renovate the pool, build The Ridge Course, and remodel The Vale Course. If you were to ask Michael his prevailing thought about Dave Bianchi, he would tell you that Dave saved the business of Echo Valley. Through hard work, dedication, and respect for the Coppola Family, Dave has played a vital role in Echo Valley being the awesome Club we all enjoy today. Dave has slowly been scaling back his involvement day-to-day management and operation over the last several years allowing new management to develop their vision going forward. You will still see Dave around the Club, but now he may sit down and have a cup of coffee or beat you at Gin. We hope you share the same gratitude we have for Dave’s tremendous contributions to your Club. |
