| Coast to coast We are delighted to be exhibiting some oil paintings by Paul-Emmet Costelloe in the gallery. Born in Ireland and now working from his Wimbledon studio, Paul has swapped his passion for painting the Irish coastline for landscapes closer to his current home. We have a selection of his Sussex scenes, including The Cliffs of Beachy Head and Brighton Seafront. Come and see the whole collection for yourself. |

| Strange things from Strangford In our attempt to keep the super popular Riso Show stocked up, we've been calling on our artists for fresh supplies week by week, and thankfully they've delivered. The latest is a parcel from Strangford (aka Jo), all the way from Strangford Lough in Northern Ireland. Her relief and Riso prints mostly feature animals, are vibrantly colourful and - in her own words - are a little bit weird. We love them and we think you will too. | The OPEN is open After last year's busy exhibition, we are once again throwing open the doors to the artists of Brighton and beyond for our third OPEN at Atelier Beside the Sea. As the name suggests, applications are open to anyone over the age of 16, and working in (almost) any subject and medium (no stuffed sharks, sorry). Apply before midnight on the 30th May and you might see your work in excellent company on our gallery walls this summer. Last year we exhibited 250 artworks by 130 artists! | Feel Good Festivities It's Festival time in Brighton and the city will soon be buzzing with creativity in every nook and cranny.
