This is an undoubtedly horrible time for all of us. It’s scary and anxiety-producing and hard as hell. There’s no way our kids aren’t feeling this, too, no matter how well we think we’re coping.
The only sliver of silver lining I can find is that our kids could come out of this whole thing having learned some pretty powerful life skills and tools. For example, this period could help to teach them how to overcome adversity and be resilient and resourceful, which, I think we can agree, are all pretty important tools for any functioning adult.
The best part is you don’t have to spend hours of intentional time fostering these habits, cause who has time for more responsibility right now? These are all characteristics you can coax out of your kids fairly easily. So read this helpful piece — I know I’ve already incorporated some of these tips in my daily life.
As always, if you ever want to vent or propose some topics we should look into, I’m all ears at katea@huffpost.com.
Until next week, please be well,
Xx Kate
